A TEENAGER was shot and stabbed in Finsbury Park on Saturday.

Police officers were called to reports of a stabbing and shooting in Pooles Park at just before 3.30pm.

The 18-year-old was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

A 19-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm and has been bailed to return to a police station at a later date.

A Section 60 – a police power which allows officers to stop and search anyone without reasonable grounds – was in place for 15 hours over the weekend.
