Tell the government it needs to act on climate and ecological concerns
Friday, 28th August 2020
• NEXT week I will be joining the rebellion against the government’s abject failure to take action to prevent climate and ecological disasters.
We are pushing more and more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and children born in the UK today will live to see terrible consequences in their lifetimes.
Already in the global south we are seeing the devastating impacts of heat waves, droughts and storms.
And we are destroying the natural world by killing off the pollinators, ruining the soil and upsetting the natural balance that has helped to keep pandemics at bay.
This is an emergency and our political leaders need to lead us out of danger. They won’t do that unless they hear from us loud and clear.
