Thank you to everyone (apart from the thieves)
Staff at Lower Holloway store send a parting message

The farewell note on the side of the now closed branch of Co-op in North Road
THE staff at a Co-op that has closed in Holloway left a parting message to their loyal customers – and a warning to those who weren’t so supportive.
Taped to the North Road, Lower Holloway, storefront with a backdrop of empty shelves, the all-caps note said: “The end.
“Thanks to all those who made our job enjoyable. We respect the use of your hard earned money.
“We will miss you.”
A second note underneath added: “To the shoplifters / fake customers who would smile but steal! We know who you are. Promise.” The store closed on January 4.
A spokesperson for the Co-op said: “Sometimes, only after very careful consideration, we take the difficult decision to sell a store. Our store in North Road has been sold.
“Our priority has been to fully support colleagues, who either continue to work with Co-op in local stores or transferred to the new operator. Co-op has a number of stores within a mile of this location including those in Islington and Kentish Town, and we would like to thank the community for its support of this store.”
