• AS two Islington mums, we would like to thank everyone involved in the Thornhill Road Garden for creating the fenced-off lawn and rose garden over the last few months.

The new, tranquil, space with its luxurious and extensive soft grass and lovely flower beds has proved invaluable for energetic babies managing through lockdown.

It’s become a little oasis where we are able to meet one another (affectionately referred to as the patch).

Our children start squawking as they get close in anticipation. They know it is somewhere they can romp safely with abandon.

This area is truly a joyous delight for our curious little adventure-seekers and has made all the difference!
