They didn’t tell us about cutting the trees

• I HAVE to let people know how Islington Council are cutting trees down on the Harvist Estate in Holloway.
First, they removed the parking area to build flats, cutting down many trees. They don’t care if there are nests in them.
They recently chopped a tree down which had a nest of squirrels, and their babies in; they just threw the nest and the young ones out onto the ground. I’m totally disgusted, and fuming about this.
The young children on this estate enjoy seeing the squirrels, and giving them nuts. In fact these could be the only wildlife some of the children may see.
When it was put forward to the tenants that they wanted to build, they said they would keep as many trees as they could. And they would be building in only Citizen Road.
But they didn’t tell us they were cutting trees on the front of the estate to make way for parking.
