• IT was refreshing to see an ex-councillor state that opposition is a good thing in politics, (Lone Green’s last-gasp fight to save seat, May 4).

Why not have a ballot at a forthcoming election on whether locals find it acceptable to live in a complete dictatorship? I believe that most people do not.

Is it time to have a fairer political distribution? As home of the Fairness Commission, where better to start than Islington?
