A NURSERY where “children thrive” has bagged top marks in an Ofsted inspection.

Bemerton Children’s Centre, just off Caledonian Road, was described as an “exceptional nursery” where “teaching is superb” and staff “strive for the best outcomes”.

This continues the nursery’s trend of top marks following their outstanding rating in 2013.

Gemma White, executive head of Bemerton Children’s Centre, said: “We are really proud of what we have achieved as a team and will do our utmost to continue to provide the best outcomes or children.”

In total, the council manages eight nurseries, four of which are currently rated as “outstanding” by Ofsted.
