THE Islington Tribune has yet again been named among the best local newspapers in the entire UK.

Despite a turbulent year for the industry, which has seen the coronavirus pandemic threaten the future of vital investigative and campaigning journalism, the Tribune has determinedly maintained its high standards – as shown by the shortlist for gongs at the annual Regional Press Awards released this week.

The Tribune and stablemate title, the Camden New Journal, are both up for the Free Newspaper of the Year award. Judges gave the award to the Tribune last year.

Meanwhile, our former journalists Bronwen Weatherby and Calum Fraser have both been nominated for a Reporter of the Year award for their work here.
