POLICE cordons were up in Essex Road on Saturday evening after a man was found with serious stab injuries.

Officers were called at around 9pm and paramedics rushed to the scene to treat the victim.
His injuries were this week described as not life-threatening.

Police said two men were arrested in the surrounding area and had been questioned in custody.

Witnesses have been asked to come forward with any information by calling the police line on 101.
