MINKA the cat has sadly died after she was found injured on the tracks of the Piccadilly line, leaving her owner “heartbroken”.

The Tribune has followed the sorry saga of Highbury resident Sarah Page’s desperate pleas to find the Grey Russian Blue Cat (pic­tured) after she went mis­sing in October.

Ms Page believes Minka was hit by a train and the nine-year-old mog was rushed to a veterinary hospital the moment she was found two weeks ago, but she died on Thursday.

“Sadly Minka passed away,” Ms Page said. “She went in my arms. I am heartbroken, but grateful I could say goodbye and I love you.”
