Ex-mayor Sandy Marks

• FORMER Islington councillor Sandy Marks has been vindicated in an official QC report published last week, (Former mayor rejects paedophile group links, November 9).

She is owed an apology, at least. Sandy was a valued public servant for 19 years in Islington, enjoying an unblemished time in office. That’s according to a lengthy, QC-led inquiry.

It is to be hoped that the “muck spreading” will end, but I fear that it will not. Sandy has rebuilt her life and confidence.
