Holloway Prison site

• ISLINGTON Homes for All – Axe the Housing Act, along with 11 other campaigning groups, is organising a hustings at Islington town hall at 6.30pm on April 17.

Candidates from each of the four main political parties have been invited to speak and answer questions. If other parties stand they may also be invited to join the panel.

Questions will be asked by representatives from campaigning groups on what the candidates would identify as local priorities for services to be provided and what steps they would take to deliver their promises.

As part of the democratic process the event is open to all. We encourage those interested to come and ask questions. Islington Homes for All is particularly interested in re-setting the agenda over delivery of social housing.

We are campaigning for the site of Holloway Prison to remain in public owner­ship and for the maximum amount of affordable housing to be provided there to meet the needs of those without the means to afford market rents.
