IT has been perhaps the most thrilling football season since Arsenal moved to the Emirates Stadium 17 years ago, with the Gunners giving it their all in pursuit of the league title.

Every home match in the run-in is now officially sold out and everybody who was in the ground on Saturday afternoon felt priviliged to watch another roaring victory – this time against Leeds United.

But images of rows of empty seats in the upper tiers – especially near the scoreboard – did not go down well with Arsenal fans desperate to see the matches but unable to get a ticket.

The club now faces the challenge of trying to keep touts at bay with the high demand to see the team’s final fixtures.

It said last week that 2,000 memberships had been cancelled in a crackdown on black market sales.

Arsenal have also said that all reports of touting are followed up and should be reported to the club.
