• THANK you for printing the letter regarding a new MP for Islington North, (The most important selection race should be for the next Labour MP for Islington North, August 12).

I’ve lived in Hilldrop estate for many years and know Jeremy Corbyn well. If he is not allowed to be a Labour MP any more then Islington Council should be organising public meetings for us to see who the replacement will be.

There will be a cost of living crisis in Islington ignored by the government and we need proper representation.
