Rubbish in Danbury Street

• I LIVE in Danbury Street. It is a conservation area and I am told how I should put out my garbage and which bins I should use. Opposite me are flats and short-term lets. They are allowed to dump rubbish on the street. The council says it is powerless to do anything. Is this correct?

I have photographs of the rubbish. Bear in mind that these are everyday photos, not garbage day photos, so a lot gets strewn around with rats and foxes. I wonder if readers have similar troubles and are also told that nothing can be done?

We have been sending photos to Councillor Martin Klute and Graham Tuck at the council for more than a year but they seem to find it completely impossible to remedy this situation. If anyone would like to offer any suggestions to the two men, I would be very grateful.
