• I WAS not persuaded by Meg Howarth’s March 17 letter about limiting traffic flows on Transport for London routes in order to “address the sources of unnecessary traffic through Barnsbury / Laycock”.

What unnecessary traffic?

I have cycled through Barnsbury / Laycock every working day for over 30 years. The traffic levels are low.

The other day, I cycled the length of Thornhill Road and Barnsbury Road and did not see even one moving car or van until I got to Copenhagen Street.

I saw two other cyclists and four pedestrians.
