Science share

WIND turbines and oil spills?

Must be the Great Science Share day, which inspires thousands of children from across the world to ask scientific questions and share their research.

On Tuesday, Islington mayor Councillor Anjna Khurana and deputy mayor Councillor Jason Jackson attended an event at the London Metropolitan University in Holloway as part of the science campaign.

Cllr Khurana said of the visit: “I was impressed by the range of work from the pupils, looking at everything from wind turbines to how to clear oil spills – hoping my guess was correct!

“Inspiring to see all the work on sustainability as past of the national Great Science Share. Brilliant work!”

The Great Science Share for Schools is a campaign for everyone to involve young people aged 5 to 14 in asking, investigating and sharing a scientific question they care about.
