• SURELY the yob who shouted at JE Kyle: “Next time I will run you over” (on the pavement, let us not forget) was only voicing what many of us have long suspected they really thought? (Let cyclists who ignore the rules face on-the-spot fines, March 29).

They have a “whachagonnadoaboutit” attitude that goes unchallenged. Also, can anyone tell me when cyclists were given right of way on the pavements at Nag’s Head. I seem to have missed this important piece of legislation.
