• I AM a retired doctor/scientist and I am shocked at the manipulation of the management of the NHS, in effect returning our local GP surgeries to the situation before the creation of the NHS, (GP surgeries’ patients put in the hands of US big business, February 19).

It will be of benefit for the rich and destructive for the poor. Where is the Labour Party in this?
