Highbury Quadrant covid remembrance

ISLINGTON Council marked the first anniversary of the Covid lockdown on Tuesday by planting 365 camelia and white rose bushes around the borough.

The plan is for them to flower annually every March and provide a reminder of the loved ones lost in the pandemic in future years.

More than 125,000 people in the UK have died from the coronavirus.
