THE friends and family of a pedestrian who was killed in a shocking collision with a double decker bus have laid flowers and cards at the Angel junction where she died.
The fatal crash occurred between White Lion Street and Baron Street last Thursday, shortly before 2.30pm.
The pedestrian – a woman in her 60s whose identity has not yet been revealed publicly – died at the scene, despite the best efforts of emergency services, as well as staff from The Three Johns bar who rushed outside to help.
In a statement, the Met Police said: “The driver of the bus, a man aged in his 40s, stopped at the scene – he was arrested for causing death by careless driving and has been bailed pending further enquiries.”
Police are appealing for witnesses, including road users with dashcam footage, to call 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 3982/03OCT24.
