Jeremy Corbyn

• I AM writing to add to the excellent letters in the May 10 Tribune from Martin Franklin, Jenny Kassman and Annette Thomas in support of Jeremy Corbyn, our much-respected MP of 40 years.

In addition to his work improving the everyday lives of people in the constituency Jeremy has been at the forefront of defending justice and human rights around the world, often against the grain of the main political parties.

Most recently he has been on the front line of protests in support of a ceasefire in Gaza and against humanitarian abuses. He has been a speaker at all of the enormous peaceful demonstrations calling for justice for Palestinians – which, by the way, have included a large and expanding Jewish bloc – and has always urged people to distinguish between Jewish people and the Israeli government.

Unfortunately, these major marches have usually been misrepresented by mainstream media. If anyone wants to know more about Jeremy’s position on the issue, I advise them to watch his new DDN (Double Down News) video on YouTube – Jeremy Corbyn on Rafah – about the horrific contraventions of international law and the live streaming of potential genocide.
