Whittington Hospital

• THANKS to the ophthalmology team at the Whittington Hospital for the superb care that I was given when undergoing cataract surgery.

All staff were efficient, kind, and their skill was apparent from my referral in May until the operation in September.

With the NHS under such pressure and hospitals being so big, the patient journey can feel confusing and impersonal.

My experience at the Whittington was exactly the opposite. Appointment staff were accommodating, the pre-op appointment was reassuring.

On the day of the procedure itself, every effort was made to explain and reassure. I felt in very good hands indeed and that counts for so much.
