DETECTIVES are appealing for the public’s help to find a man they want to speak to in connection with a double murder in Archway.

Leonardo Reid, 15, and Klevi Shekaj, 23, were fatally stabbed in Elthorne Road on June 29. Police now say they are looking for Lorik Lupqi, 19, as part of the inquiry.

Mr Lupqi is from Archway and connected to parts of east and south-west London. Officers say he should not be approached.

Detective Chief Inspector Jim Eastwood, who is leading the investigation, said: “Several weeks have passed since this awful incident and I am confident there are people who know where Lupqi is. I would encourage them to do the right thing by the victims’ grieving families and contact us immediately.”

In an online tribute to Mr Shekaj, his family called him a “remarkable young man with a heart full of love, and a spirit full of promise.”

They added: “Klevi will forever be remembered as a radiant and affectionate son, family member and friend. He was respectful, modest, and kind beyond words. Klevi’s kindness was not merely a virtue but a habit.

“His gentle nature was such that he would buy tuna and milk for a stray cat on the street that looked hurt or frightened – a story shared with us by a friend. He had a passion for crypto and business and his ambitions reached beyond the constraints of his surroundings. It is heartbreaking to know that his potential will never be fully realised.”

Leonardo’s family made a similar online tribute to the teenager, saying he was a “bright, loving son, brother and friend”. They added: “Leo was just four months shy of his 16th birthday – a cause for celebration for his family and his many achievements. His family wish to honour him on this day and beyond.”

Abel Chunda, 27, Jason Furtardo, 26, and Eden Clark, 29, have all been charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, and possession of an offensive weapon.

All three men have been remanded in custody ahead of standing trial in May 2024.

Anyone with information about Mr Lupqi’s whereabouts is asked to call 999 quoting CAD 9383/29Jun.
