THE sun was shining for the Clerkenwell Festival in Spa Fields on Sunday, an annual community get-together complete with a dog show, jumble sale and roster of bands.

Self-described “kitchenpop/mummycore” group I, Doris sang punky feminist bangers, “psychedelic masculinity” advocates The Action Men put on an Olympics inspired performance and Sister Cookie and her band closed off the bill with their unique sound that explores the “roots and fruits” of black music.

Dogs and dog-parents young and old took to the obstacle course in the morning, while trinkets, records and funky shirts were on sale at stalls on the sidelines. A fun family-friendly community celebration to round off the summer.
