The ‘artist’s impression’ of the Holloway Prison site development is misleading

The ‘actual proposed development’ for the Holloway Prison site, left, with the artist’s impression of the site
• THANK you so much for including my article on Peabody’s planning application for the Holloway Prison site in the December 10 Tribune, (Quantity over quality? Overdevelopment at jail site will ruin those welcome pledges).
While you faithfully presented what I had written, the picture that accompanied this is a fiction, even though it is included at the beginning of the application as an artist’s impression of the site.
Indeed, if you just compare the actual proposed development in the picture above, you can see why. There is no way that the area shown at the front can ever receive sunlight, except for perhaps one hour in the summer, and it is actually a commercial area.
Nor is the green area in the centre the spacious park implied. If only! With these illustrations side by side your readers can see for themselves.
