The Labour Party has not even followed its own rules with activists

Jeremy Corbyn
• I WRITE to you for two reasons, first in response to the December 3 letter by Pete Gilman (Denying Corbyn the whip is undemocratic) and also that I feel there is real issue here regarding the unfair treatment and bias by the Labour Party that attacks it own left-wing activist.
I state this following a two-year, unfair, suspension by the party.
I did not even know I was suspended and then, when I tried to find out why, I was not given the reason. I still do not know what I had done to be suspended. This is not just unfair it is unjust and not in keeping with natural justice.
Even more appalling, I was not even given a chance to appeal or present a defence. I feel there are those in the Labour Party who should be concerned with this process and should be raising cases like mine and ensuring fair rules are applied to all.
Secondly, it clear to all that the main reason why Jeremy Corbyn has had the whip removed is not because he has done wrong or broken a rule. It is to prevent him from standing as a MP. This not just plain wrong it is a abuse of the party selection process.
By removing Jeremy Corbyn from the Parliamentary Labour Party, a message is being sent to MPs: if you dare stand and become party leader then we will bar you from ever standing as a MP if you do or say anything that the right wing of the party do not like.
There have been several other MPs on the right of Labour Party who have openly broken party rules and have not been treated in any way.
There was Kate Hoey who supported the likes of Nigel Farage in the Brexit vote. There was Frank Field who campaigned against Labour in the Wallasey election. And Margaret Hodge who attacked others Labour MPs, including Jeremy Corbyn.
Left-wing councillors are suspended or have had the whip removed. The rules state that there has to be a clear period for the whip being taken away and no one should be subjected to arbitrary punishment. This is exactly what Jeremy Corbyn has been subjected to.
It shows that, as a party, Labour under this leadership is not even following its own rules. And it shows that it cannot be trusted to govern fairly if it treats its own members in this unjust way.
