And they don’t come much bigger than a semi-final with Argentina.

A movie by the canal

Not everybody is obsessed with football and people passing through King’s Cross learned salsa stops for no one. The weekly dance continued in the forecourt in front of the station this week, albeit with a slightly bizarre twist. While the Cuban beats popped and the dancers bopped, a big screen was showing… Aussie Rules football.

London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan and some local authorities had been criticised for not using jumbo tellies to screen the semi-finals in parks and open spaces across the capiatl, as Camden had done in Russell Square for the 2018 final four clash with Croatia.

Aussie Rules

As Harry Kane and co crashed out to their South American rivals, the cinema screen by the canal in King’s Cross, run by the Everyman cinema group. was showing Elvis, the biopic film about the Suspicious Minds legend.
