COULD Islington be the epicentre of the latest wave of Covid-19?
That was what Dame Emily Thornberry, MP for Islington South and Finsbury, seemed to suggest in a post on X.
Dame Emily said: “58.3 per cent of Islington residents taking a test are discovering they have Covid. It seems to be the highest in the country at the moment. Look after yourselves Islington.”
Cases of a new Covid variant, nicknamed “Stratus” have surged across the country, with hospital cases increasing.
If you return a positive test, NHS guidance strongly advises staying at home and avoiding contact with others for five days if you test positive.
